For more advanced users, it is always better to solve the problem manually as the reinstall process can lead to loss of posts, articles, images and other forms of information that you might need. So, it is always better to backup your WordPress database, before even thinking about the process of the doing anything to the core WordPress installation.

There are many ways to Uninstall and Reinstall WordPress, and we will go through most of them.  So, why the wait? Let’s start our tutorial of “How to uninstall and reinstall WordPress”.

How to Uninstall and Reinstall WordPress

Method 1: Completely removing the current installation and installing a fresh one.

This approach is useful if you don’t want to leave any trace of the old WordPress installation.

1. Find the WordPress directory in which your WordPress website files are located. If websites are not in the sub-domain, it is probably residing in the public_html core of the File system.

2. Delete all the files residing in the WordPress folder.

3. Delete the table and the user that is associated with the WordPress website.  This step can be done through the cPanel of your WordPress website. In the cPanel, you have to find the MySQL database section and remove the database manually.

4. The last step is to install the WordPress, the way you did for the first time.

Method 2: Database Deletion and Reinstallation

The database holds all the information for your website. If you can get rid of it, you can sure reinstall the WordPress website without installing any new information.

1. Go to the cPanel of your hosting and find the database in the MySQL database section. Delete the database and user table.

You can find the database name and the username in the wp-config.php file. You can choose to download it through the FTP client and find the values.

2. Create a new database of the same username and database. This way you won’t have to modify the wp-config.php file. Otherwise, update your wp-config.php file with the database name and username.

3. Running the installer will star the installation from scratch. This can be done by just visiting your website.

Method 3: Ask your hosting provider technical support

Still confused? Don’t worry as there is still one path remaining to do the stuff. Nowadays hosting support have been improved a lot. If you are using any of the hosting provided on our website, you can undoubtedly understand the level of service they provide.

Contacting the support can solve your problem, and they can reinstall your WordPress installation in minutes. But, before proceeding, I want you to take a backup of your database file so that you can revert to the old version. Also, most of the service providers always backup your website(depending on your package).

Increase PageSpeed

Increase PageSpeed Tips

Increase PageSpeed Insights rankings of website matters much more now a days. To get higher PR for website there are few factor matter such as PageSpeed Insights Rank, Performance Grade from Pingdom, and Performance Scores from GTMetrix. To Make Your WordPress Ultrafast these number must have to consider.

1. Keep updated WordPress

Stay updated with the  latest version of WordPress  is very important. Not only for the performance of your site, but to prevent hacking and similar issues. In each update, generally, there are many performance enhancements.

WordPress developers release new with each update WordPress versionesporque further improved.

2. Eliminate unnecessary plugins and updates the others

If you are using more than 15 plugins in your blog, then you need to check if you really need them all. If you do not need them, delete them. Also make sure you keep the Plugins, they are updated to the latest version .

3. Optimize your Database

You’ll be surprised how much you can reduce the loading time of your site, just optimizing your database. You can do this manually or you can do it by Plugins.

If you want to do it the easy way, install the plugin  DB Optimize  or  Optimize WP . You can do this manually you must do the following:

  1. You must open the PHPMyAdmin database administrator data.
  2. Choose your databases.
  3. Clicking “Mark all / as” the bottom of the page.
  4. Choose the “Optimize table” drop-down list located next option.
  5. And presto!

4. Caches your Database

Queries to the database are made every time a person visits your blog. The cache is vital to reduce the number of queries, also increase the speed of your blog. To minimize your queries to the database you will easily install the plugin  DB Cache Reloaded .

5. Disable and Delete Post Revisions

Post revisions were introduced from WordPress 2.6. but in reality they are useful when a blog is managed by several authors and serves to see the changes of an article and the date of the change or return an item to a previous version. However, this will make your database is full of reviews of articles, which makes it heavier. If you do not need this feature, you must add the following line to the file  config.php  from your WordPress installation:

If you want to remove all revisions of your database you must run the following query:

DELETE a, b, c FROM wp_posts to
LEFT JOIN wp_term_relationships b ON (a.ID = b.object_id)
LEFT JOIN wp_postmeta c ON (a.ID = c.post_id)
WHERE a.post_type = 'review' ;

6. Disable Hotlinking

Hotlinking, also known as bandwidth theft is when someone copy and paste the URL of your image by putting your pictures on your own site, which makes the load on your server up enough.

There are several ways around this by putting the following into the file  .htaccess , located in the root folder of your server, as follows:

#deshabilitar hotlinking of images
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond% {HTTP_REFERER}! ^ $
RewriteCond% {HTTP_REFERER} ^ http (s): // (www .) Trazos-web.com [CN]?
RewriteCond% {HTTP_REFERER} ^ http (s): // (www .) Google.com [CN]?
RewriteCond% {HTTP_REFERER} ^ http (s): // (www .) Feeds2.feedburner.com/TrazosWeb [CN]?
RewriteRule (jpg | jpeg | png | gif) $ - [CN, F, L].

You can enable your feed, because otherwise your readers will not see any image feed.

7. Uses WordPress Plugin Cache

Using a cache plugin like  WP Super Cache  or  W3 Total Cache  makes a copy of your blog in html is saved and that this copy is the one that will show your readers. This greatly increases the loading speed of your website.

8. Optimize your Images

If you edit your images with Photoshop, always use the “par Web & Devices Save” option, or use some of the tools to optimize your photographs that I present below:

Online tools:

Desktop tools:

9. Compress your content

This is done through the .htaccess file in your root folder and allows you to compress most files in your blog (css, javascript, php, html and xhtml). There are two ways to do this depending on the version of Apache you have installed your blog, if the version of Apache 2.x is smaller, it is done by mod_gzip, as follows:

<IfModule mod_gzip.c>
Yes mod_gzip_on
Yes mod_gzip_dechunk
mod_gzip_item_include file (html |? txt | css | js | php | pl). $
mod_gzip_item_include cgi-script handler ^ $
You mod_gzip_item_include text mime ^ /.*
You mod_gzip_item_include ^ mime application / x-javascript. *
You mod_gzip_item_exclude mime ^ image /.*
mod_gzip_item_exclude rspheader ^ Content-Encoding:. * * gzip.
If the version of your server is Apache 2.x, you can use the mod_deflate function as well:
<IfModule mod_deflate.c>
<FilesMatch " (css | js | x html |? Php). $">
SetOutputFilter DEFLATE
</ FilesMatch>
</ IfModule>

10. Add all your cache static content

Add Headers Expiration ( Expire Headers ) and cache control headers ( Cache-Control Headers ) will cause fewer HTTP requests which will decrease the load time of your website is performing. The Expiration Headers  are generally used with images, but can be used with style sheets, scripts, flash components, etc. This will help you to increase pagespeed.

Here I leave an example of what you should put in your file  .htaccess  to implement these headers:

# START Expiration Headers
<IfModule mod_expires.c>
On ExpiresActive
ExpiresDefault "access plus 1 seconds"
ExpiresByType image / x-icon "access plus seconds 2592000"
ExpiresByType image / jpeg "access plus seconds 2592000"
ExpiresByType image / png "access plus seconds 2592000"
ExpiresByType image / gif "access plus seconds 2592000"
ExpiresByType application / x-shockwave-flash "access plus seconds 2592000"
ExpiresByType text / css "access plus 604800 seconds"
ExpiresByType text / javascript "access plus 216000 seconds"
ExpiresByType application / javascript "access plus 216000 seconds"
ExpiresByType application / x-javascript "access plus 216000 seconds"
ExpiresByType text / html "access plus 600 seconds"
ExpiresByType application / xhtml + xml "access plus 600 seconds"
</ IfModule>
# END Expiration Headers
Cache-Control headers #EMPIEZA
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
Header unset ETag
None FileETag
<FilesMatch " (ico | jpe g |? Png | gif | swf). $">
Header September Cache-Control "max-age = 2592000, public"
</ FilesMatch>
<FilesMatch ". (Css) $">
Header September Cache-Control "max-age = 604800, public"
</ FilesMatch>
<FilesMatch ". (Js) $">
Header September Cache-Control "max-age = 216000, private"
</ FilesMatch>
<FilesMatch " (x html |? Php). $">
Header September Cache-Control "max-age = 600, private, must-revalidate"
</ FilesMatch>
</ IfModule>
# END Cache-Control Headers

11. Optimize your CSS and JavaScript files

The CSS and JavaScript files can be optimized to reduce the size of these. For example, blank lines and unused CSS classes should be eliminated. By optimizing these files, you can effectively reduce server bandwidth and save space on your hard disk. This will help you to increase pagespeed. To compress the CSS there are several tools:

To help you optimize your JavaScript files are the following tools:

12. Move calls to JavaScript files in the background

A server can only load a certain limit of items at once. If you are using many JavaScript in your WordPress site, then you have to compress them. After compressing the scripts, you must move to the bottom of your blog template, usually before the tag  </ body> , so that the content (images, css, etc.) is loaded first. This will help you to increase pagespeed.

Something like that:

<Script type = "text / javascript"  src = "algunScript.js" > </ script>
<Script type = "text / javascript"  src = "otroScript.js" > </ script>
</ Body>

13. Use the AJAX Libraries API Google

The  AJAX Libraries API  is an attempt to make Web applications faster for developers simply, becoming a content distribution network architecture in a burden on popular JavaScript libraries, including:

To implement it on your site you can use the Google API:

<Script type = "text / javascript" src = "http://www.google.com/jsapi" > </script>
<Script type = "text / javascript" > google.load ( "jquery" , "1.3.2" ); </script>

Or link the source code directly into the template of your blog:

<Script type= "text/javascript" src= " http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js " ></script>

14. Reduce the use of external scripts

When your blog loads slowly, you should seriously consider removing widgets like  Facebook Fans or  latest updates on Twitter  or buttons such as  tweetmeme , for you are making your site load dependent on other sites. For example, if you’re using the button  retweet  and  tweetmeme  is down, your blog will not load properly. Try to avoid these plugins or widgets as you can. This will help you to increase pagespeed.

15. Use CSS Sprites

CSS Sprites are combined multiple images into one big image. Then using CSS you can ‘ cut ‘or select the piece of image you want to use in a given class, instead of having multiple images used multiple times. This is good because it requires fewer requests to the server. And help to Increase PageSpeed.

Here I leave some items for you to learn more about CSS Sprites:

Consider all above mentioned tips to get Increase PageSpeed of your WordPress Site exponentially.

How to Implement Self-Hosted CDN and SpeedUp WordPress http://onesmartclick.in/web-hosting/implement-self-hosted-cdn-speedup-wordpress/ http://onesmartclick.in/web-hosting/implement-self-hosted-cdn-speedup-wordpress/#respond Thu, 12 Nov 2015 22:40:54 +0000 http://onesmartclick.in/?p=1187 CDN is an acronym for content delivery network.

While a self-hosted CDN make your WordPress Ultrafast and defeats the purpose of the acronym because it is no longer a network, there are advantages it can bring to further optimize your site speed. There are 10 Free Services to Accelerate WordPress on CDN.Selfhosted CDN WordPress

What is CDN ?

In simple terms, a CDN is meant to distribute your static content to your users from the nearest possible data center to their geographic location. This makes loading the heavy stuff quicker because it is retrieved from the nearest place. It keeps the data’s travel time to a minimum.

Other effects of CDN is that it lowers down your server’s bandwidth usage because you’re feeding a lot of your static content straight from the CDN’s servers. You are also lowering down the processing memory being used by your server/s because the static content is processed and fed through your CDN.

Now that you know that a CDN is served from several different servers (depending on which one is the closest to the user), what then is the purpose of a self-hosted CDN?

Advantages of Self Hosted CDN

To put things in an extremely simple way, the main advantage of a self-hosted CDN is that it will enable your users to draw your static media files from another, potentially cookie-less server. This additional pipeline will ease the burden of processing from your main server and allows them to download all your files simultaneously.

Self Hosted CDN AdvantagesPicture Source : SEO Hacker

Steps to Set Up Your Self Hosted CDN

For this tutorial, I’ll be using the local server’s subdomain as the origin of the CDN files. First, off you’ll need the W3 Total Cache plugin. Download it here.

1) Turn the CDN feature on in the General Settings section and select Generic Mirror in the CDN Type.CDN Option2) Next, go to your W3 Total Cache’s CDN settings. Here’s a screenshot of what options I turned on and which ones I left turned off in my CDN options.CDN GeneralAs much as possible, I want the static files such as image attachments, theme files, CSS and JS  files to be hosted in the CDN so I ticked them on.

3) Change your CDN Hostname to your self-hosted CDN’s address. In this case, I used Onesmartclick’s subdomain. like cdn.onesmartclick.in.CDN Configuration

4) Login to your website’s cPanel and go to the subdomains section.Subdomain CDN

5) Fill up the Create Subdomain form with whatever you want to name your CDN’s subdomain. I named mine as cdn.onesmartclick.in.Create Subdomain

6) Make sure that you assign the CDN subdomain to your public_html folder so that it will function as a Generic Mirror.

7) Go to your cPanel’s Advanced DNS Zone EditorAdvanced DNS ZONE Editor8) Edit the CNAME of the two new subdomains that you created. Click the edit button.CNAME CDN9) Change the Type A to CNAME and then put your domain name in the CNAME, thus completing the Generic Mirror settings.Type CNAMEMake Update asCNAME Update

10) Next, go to your W3 Total Cache’s CDN settings and click on Modify Attachment URLS at the topmost part.W3 Total Cache CDN settings

11) Modify the Attachment URL to your subdomain and click on the Start button.Modify-Attachment-URL

Wait for it to load. Close the window and that it! You have your new self-hosted CDN!

From now on, your website should be loading your static files from your subdomain. This will help unclog your pipeline from users siphoning all those static files from your main DNS.

10 Free Services to Accelerate WordPress on CDN http://onesmartclick.in/web-hosting/10-free-services-accelerate-wordpress-cdn/ http://onesmartclick.in/web-hosting/10-free-services-accelerate-wordpress-cdn/#respond Tue, 03 Nov 2015 16:07:35 +0000 http://onesmartclick.in/?p=1016 It is not surprising that CDN services thrive. In today’s world where the average Internet speed technologically advanced regions exceeds 10 Mbps. The disadvantage of this race to find the fastest bit is that our attention span has a point of patience and becomes unstable.

Always good to have our site powered by a Content Delivery Network. Not only can save a CDN bandwidth costs of our hosting provider, also the site becomes incredibly fast and tends to rank higher in search engines.

But is it possible to have a free CDN for our projects? we see below:

We’ve all heard of Dropbox, Google Drive and other storage services in the cloud.Their plans offer free storage space combined total of 33 GB. (18 GB of Dropbox where you can achieve through recommendations and over 15 GB Google Drive). Add another 7GB of SkyDrive and have 40 GB. If we are to store all our pictures we have of our digital camera 40GB may not be enough some day.

CDN service Flickr

This is where comes in Flickr. Now there is a storage company in the traditional cloud.Flickr offers 1TB of storage that all is virtually unlimited photographic effects. We can store a lifetime of photos and yet we would be more space. Demonstrating this original point is that we just have to know where to look.

In today’s article we will list some of the CDN services available free. We will also see a couple of services that offer generous trial periods, which we always use to our advantage.

CloudflareCloudFlare needs no introduction for those who are owners of a WordPress site with our own accommodations. With 23 data centers spread around the world, the Free CloudFlare CDN brings their DNS services and protects more than hundreds of thousands of websites worldwide. In a previous article we talked about  .

incapsulaIncapsula provides application delivery from the cloud: Global CDN, Web Security, DDoS protection, load balancing and failover. It takes 5 minutes to activate the service and have a great free plan, plus a WordPress plugin for information on the correct IP address for comments posted on our website.

Cloudflare common characteristics and Incapsula:

In short, this is what makes Incapsula and Cloudflare:

Trafficking routes across its website through its worldwide distribution network of high-end servers (this is achieved by a small change in DNS)

Analysis of real-time threat blocking incoming traffic and latest web threats such as multi-Gigabit DDoS attacks

Outgoing traffic is accelerated through its content distribution network worldwide.

PhotonFor all users of WordPress Jetpack it is quite popular. In its recent improvements they have included a free CDN service called Photon, serving images from our site through its global network of WordPress.com. For this service enabled all we have to do is download and install Jetpack for WordPress and activate your Photon module.

coralcdnCoralCDN is a peer-to-peer (P2P) original project of MIT, network content delivery based exclusively be free. P2P networks are based on billions of computers connected to the Internet, which is mainly the reason that CoralCDN is free. We quote your WordPress plugin that reads “static content is served by simply adding servers CoralCDN ‘. Nyud.net ‘to the URL element “Oddly enough to understand is an example of how it works:

This is the link of a logo of example:

Serving logo through CoralCDN servers is just add’.nydu.net ‘

Surprised? I confess that I too.

swarmcdn SwarmCDN is a relatively new distribution network peer-to-peer based content that offers 100 GB of bandwidth for their free plan. Commercially it is a CDN pay-as-you-go is good for websites with average traffic.

Almost all WordPress themes using a snippet of JavaScript code. In order for the script to work, a js file must be downloaded first. jsDelivr  is a free public CDN for these JavaScript libraries and other associated files. 91 POP locations spread around the world, your WordPress plugin free is a must for every site hosted WordPress.

Googles App Engine

Google App EngineGoogle App Engine in simple terms is the equivalent of Google about Amazon S3 + EC2. It is used to run Web-based, website hosting and data storage applications. Luckily Google has generously 500 MB storage 10 projects and staying up to 5,000,000 page views per month in their free plan. The configuration of Google App Engine Python requires technical knowledge and the development of web-based applications. I recommend this tutorial to have a theoretical understanding.

One of the sponsors is CDN.net jsDeliver which offers 1TB of bandwidth CDN free. That’s more than enough for a website with moderate traffic and images. CDN.net gives us an idea of what we will experience once your CDN use in terms of consumption of bandwidth and content of a popular website.

Web sites to host images

One alternative forgotten a CDN that includes image hosting websites. If you’re just starting out and looking for an easy way to save bandwidth server, hosting sites popular image as Imgur , Photobucket and Flickr should serve our purposes to the fullest.

Free services cloud storage

Another great way to save bandwidth of the server is using the services of free cloud storage. Say we have a couple of PDF files or video available for direct download. This makes our hosting in its server consumes bandwidth like crazy. A smart solution is to use the various services of free storage in the cloud. To share a file publicly just we need to generate a public URL of the file and paste it on our website. Here we see some solutions free storage in the cloud:

Free trials of CDN

The following sservicios CDN offer a free trial period, but due to security reasons it is necessary to use a contact form to get in touch with them.

  • EdgeCast – If we are going to work to get a test, why not make it an industry leader? WordPress.com and other notable companies are powered by EdgeCast.
  • Highwinds – Established in 2002, this award-winning provider of CDN allows 20 TB of bandwidth and 10 GB of storage in its free trial.
  • Internap – This company offers a trial period of 30 days and includes useful functions such as retransmission of live events, advanced analysis and video encoding and transmission on demand.
  • TinyCDN – True to its name TinyCDN offers storage of 100 MB, 1 GB transfer his probation for a CDN.
  • MetaCDN – offers a trial period of 14 days with unlimited access to all services and do not need credit card registration. MetaCDN is a good choice for a test of CRC.
  • Cdn77 – This company offers a trial period of 2 weeks and also provides unrestricted access to all its features.

To keep it short I would like to remember all the good things may come to an end. There have been cases of free CDN companies have stopped offering their services for free (exabytes) or completely (SpeedyMirror, Coblitz) that leads to an important conclusion closed:

When should I switch to a CDN?

A free service CDN only be necessary for a certain time. Once the traffic starts to increase our visits could begin to complain of a slow website and can be affected search engine rankings. Then it would be advisable to switch to an appropriate CDN service as MaxCDN or Amazon CloudFront.

SpeedUp WordPress : Make Your WordPress Ultrafast http://onesmartclick.in/wordpress/speedup-wordpress-make-your-wordpress-ultrafast/ http://onesmartclick.in/wordpress/speedup-wordpress-make-your-wordpress-ultrafast/#comments Mon, 02 Nov 2015 15:50:41 +0000 http://onesmartclick.in/?p=970 SpeedUp WordPressHello, in this post I will explain how to optimize your site to speedup WordPress and load superfast. The loading speed of your website is very important and directly affects the visits and conversions on your website.

A nice and quick navigation keeps the user leaves your site ahead of time, and increases the likelihood that the user to perform what we all want to get.

So I recommend you to pay attention if you have a website with WordPress. If you follow the instructions indicated below you can get to improve download speed of your blog or your website approximately 20-30%. Let’s go there to speedup WordPress.

Previous considerations

First of all, you have to check some things to get a good result in the optimization:

  • Make sure your hosting is fast . OnesmartclicK inform you here for quick hosting if you are not a customer already.
  • If you have installed on your WordPress plugins that do not use , disable, and then remove. They may be assuming an unnecessary delay in the speed of your website.
  • If you are receiving a lot of spam , delete and add measures to avoid continue to receive it . This causes spam generated large tables with information that is not useful for your web, and that cause the generation of your web pages are somewhat slower.
  • If possible, hire a hosting country where your audience is, or close . Having a hosted hosting close to where it is most of your audience is important because the response time will be much better, and problems related to network connectivity will be much lower.
  • Operating System specializes in shared hosting . One of the common problems of shared hosting is that if one of the users on your server has a peak of visits, or just have scheduling problems that generate an unlimited resource consumption. This can make other users notice that the server service responds slowly. To avoid this it is important to use systems that isolate the resources of each account, so as to ensure a minimum of resources available to each user and users no monopolize the server.
  • SSD in the server. SSDs have already reached sufficient reliability to be used on production servers, and the performance difference compared to the old hard disks is very high. MySQL fly on servers with SSDs, and this is especially important when working with CMS to make extensive use of MySQL. SSDs are more expensive and offer less space, but improved performance and speed is remarkable and worth.
  • Nginx reverse proxy to speed up downloading static content. Apache is a very reliable and with many possibilities web server, is a standard. However there Nginx servers as they are much lighter and respond with greater speed. A good idea is to have Nginx as a reverse proxy that transparently be responsible for serving static content (CSS, images, JavaScript, text, etc ..). Nginx response is faster than Apache, and server performance is best when Nginx is used.
  • Image enhancement . It is very important that all the images that are uploaded to the website are optimized for the web. If you upload the images as we get your camera or as I have the past, they will surely be occupying double (or more) space than they should. On the website the pictures are to be optimized to the maximum to make downloading faster. This process is usually quite tedious, along with time, as new contents are uploaded, is difficult to control everyone up well optimized images. In OnesmartclicK we have developed a free service so that our customers can optimize images in your account with a single click .
  • Firewall secure web hosting , but things are quite different look related. Teener a secure hosting able to discard spam traffic, or traffic denial of service allows your mind function more smooth form. If you are the victim of a DDoS attack on the administration of your WordPress or Joomla and you have no protection, surely your web, unable to process as many login attempts end loading slow.

After taking into account these preliminary considerations, you can measure the time it takes to load your site before carrying out any optimization. You can make it through the next tool .

pindom test

Now let’s follow a few simple steps through which we will optimize different aspects of the web.

Install and configure WP Super Cache

WP Super Cache is a WordPress plugin that is used for file-based cache. This means no memory stores as Memcache or the like is used, but a copy of the complete page is generated in a static html file, and the plugin is responsible for serving the web from this copy instead of regenerating each page visit with what this entails in terms of resource consumption on the server and therefore slow loading. In OnesmartclicK servers have SSDs that are faster than standard disks, though more expensive, which in combination with the WP Super Cache Cache your blog and speedup WordPress site/blog .

The first will install, for this go to Plugins – Add new , and in the search put Super Cache , and click on Install Now , after installation click on Activate .

You will get a red window remembering that the cache is disabled and you must enable it from the administration of the plugin, click on the link, and in the administration page click Update status to activate the cache.

Go to Settings – WP Super Cache [Easy (easy)] , and click Cache Test to check that everything is OK.

Enable check-box that says: Cache hits to this website for quick access .

Below this you will see 3 options: The right thing is to enable use mod_rewrite to serve cache files.

Upgrade options again, please scroll down and click Update Status

You will see a notification that you must update the mod_rewrite rules you listed “mod_rewrite rules must be updated” , Make scroll down and you’ll notice a yellow sign with mod_rewrite rules and the button says ” Update mod_rewrite rules “, press in button to mod_rewrite rules in your .htaccess file is updated.

Missing establish garbage collection with an interval of 1800 seconds (30 min) or 3600 seconds (1 hour) for this access to “section Expiry Time & Garbage Collection “and set the value” Cache Timeout “3600 seconds.

Go to Settings – WP Super Cache [Advanced (Advanced)] , enable the option: Enable Compression in WP Super Cache thus GZip compression UNSATURATED so that the load is compressed and before page is enabled, in addition to saving width band.

Creating a subdomain for static content

We have made many improvements in optimizing our WordPress, and you can check if you’re doing load time measurements of your website. The step that I point you now is to create a subdomain of our main domain, we use to serve static content (javascript files, css files, and images) of this website.

The advantage is that this subdomain will allow download this type of content with parallel connections, which makes it download faster.

We will have to create a subdomain hosting in our panel, and point to the web that we are optimizing . For cpanel, we must do it from the Domains> Subdomains section.

create subdomain

ATTENTION: It is very important that the Document Root (Main Media) of static subdomain point to / public_html and NO/ public_html / static , otherwise you will not be charged any static content and the page will not display correctly.
If you are using W3 Total Cache go to the administrative panel of WordPress, and access Performance , General Settings .In the section “CRC” , CRC function enables the type “Generic Mirrror” . After accessing Performance , CDN , all the options of the section “General” , and indicates the subdomain you’ve configured in the section “Configuration”.

ATTENTION: these changes apply only if you are absolutely sure that the subdomain “estaticos.dominio.com” working properly and points to the root of your site, if they do not stop working the CSS / Javascript files and images on its website.Do not apply these changes for the first time in a web production, testing first to make a web test.Go to Settings – WP Super Cache [CDN] , enable the option: Enable CDN Support , then in the field Offsite URL put the subdomain you just created, in this case “http://static.onesmartclick.in” important without the slash (/) at the end. In“additional CNAMEs” you can simply put the same value. Finally check the option that says “Skip https URLs to avoid mixed content errors” and save the changes.

Thus, from this moment, the static files are served through the subdomain you’ve configured with the improvement that this implies in relation to the speed of our website.

Load your web images on the screen only if: Lazy loading

The last optimization is to install a plugin that makes downloading images go as they appear on screen . This means avoiding download images that the user does not see, and therefore do not need to download them. That is, we are avoiding downloading the images that the user is not displayed on the screen at the time, and downloading images will go as the user scroll by on our website.

The plugin so you can download from here . Once installed and enabled, you will not have to do anything, it works automatically.

With this last step we have completed the optimization procedure. Let’s see some conclusions.

After optimizing ..

We return to make 60 test loads the web that we have optimized. We found that the improvement is promised at the beginning of the post: around 28% in this case.
pindom test

There are other improvements that could apply to improve our WordPress more load times. Are as follows:

Optimize images on our website

It is quite common in our website have images that are not properly optimized, so take up more disk space than necessary. This causes an increase in load times, while consuming space on the hosting account unnecessarily. There are several plugins used to automatically optimize disk size of the images , without having to perform any action on our part. One option would be the plugin EWWW Image Optimizer .

Once we have installed and activated the plugin EWWW Image Optimizer new images that we add to our WordPress will be optimized automatically. This means that the disk space occupied by the image without losing any quality will be reduced. If we want to optimize the images that we have uploaded on the website we will have to go to Settings – EWWW Image Optimizer and click on the link mass optimization . Here one must press the button Start optimization to start optimizing images.

Defer loading of JavaScript code at the end

When the javascript code is loaded at the top of the page you need this code to completely load before loading the visible content of the web itself, which occurs one sample delay in the visible content . This is usually the default behavior of WordPress and topics that are used in it. There are some plugins that allow postponing the burden of javascript code so that it loads at the end.

One option would be the plugin JavaScript to Footer , allowing us to do this automatically. Just we have to install and activate the plugin so that it begins to work, without having to configure anything else.

ATTENTION: The deferred load JavaScript code can cause errors on the page, precisely in those sections of it where this code is used: dropdown menus, image galleries, image magnification effects, accordion, etc. Therefore, it is important that after using a plugin of this type verify that the website and all its contents will continue loading as normal .Otherwise, it is preferable not to use any plugin to delay the burden of javascript.

Making your own blog can take a short time, most likely up to 30 minutes. So snatch yourself for an expressions or thoughts (whatever you have in mind). In process of creation your blog if you need any assistance, contact me here and I’ll help any inquiries you may have.

The 5 Steps to start blogging for beginners

  • Choose your most well-liked blogging platform
  • Choose whether or not you would like to self-host and a paid domain, or get a free blog
  • Setting up a blog on your own domain (if you decide on self-hosting and a custom domain)
  • Designing your blog (the fun bit!)
  • Useful resources for blogging

So, we made it. Phew. higher late than never! therefore, while not any hustle, let’s jump into step one.

Step 1 – Option for blogging platform

Choosing wherever you would like to make blog is just about the primary issue you have got to try and do. WordPress Is great platform to build your blog. It’s one amongst the most important blogging platforms within the world, with unnumberable plugins and add-ons and nearly infinite ways in which to style and layout your blog.

There are quite eighty two million active users mistreatment WordPress = plenty, basically.

Pingdom WordPress

There are different alternatives, Even though WordPress is greater.
Why should you go with WordPress

  • Super simple set-up.
  • Tons of free themes and layouts (I’m not kidding, there’s gazillions).
  • There’s a colossal support forum just in case you grind to a halt (you won’t, however it’s nice to
  • possess it there if you wish it).
  • Your blog are insanely quick and it’ll conjointly look practicality and type – perfect!
  • People will move with you simply. Your content will be shared, commented on, and so on.

Here’s a commentary concerning totally different blogging platforms (including WordPress), provides it a way to options for a Blogging.

Now, Step a pair of (see, we’re moving quick now!)

Step 2 – Self-hosting or a free hosting?

WordPress, Tumblr and Blogger all supply free blogs for anyone. Awesome, right? It’s excellent for those people WHO aren’t super serious concerning blogging. however it will have downsides:

1) You won’t be ready to get your OWN name

On a free blog, your blog’s net address (your URL) are ugly. Like, extremely ugly. In short, produce a free blog with the other the higher than free blog services and it’ll appear as if this format

  • yourblog.wordpress.com
  • yourblog.blogspot.com
  • yourblog.tumblr.com

I know, ugly right?

2) Limits and additional limits

There are some limits to free blogs. You can’t fully monetize it, and you don’t have the possibility to upload all those videos and images you want to show everyone – it’s all limited. Worse still, you won’t even have access to the free themes offered by WordPress.

3) You DON’T OWN your Blog

It might sound silly at first, but you don’t actually own your blog. It’s hosted on someone else’s web property and they can delete it if they want so. They have done so in the past, and keep doing it in the future. Which means all your hard work on your blog, all those countless hours of writing blog posts might be vanished within seconds. Sad…

On the opposite hand, with a self-hosted blog on your own domain – you are the REAL owner of your blog. You’ll be able to name your blog whatever you want, for example “YourName.com” or “YourAwesomeBlog.com. You can end it with .com, .co.uk, .net, .org, or virtually any other web suffix. Add to that unlimited bandwidth for videos, images and content plus the free themes and you have a winning combo.

So how much is hosting and a domain name? Not as much as you’re thinking, fortunately. It usually works out to about $4 per month, depending on your hosting provider.

Step 3 – Begin a blog on your own domain

(if you selected self-hosting and a custom domain)

Wordpress Blog

I’m going to push ahead based on the premise you’ve chosen WordPress, and if you haven’t, you should. Seriously, it’s the best.

If you’re still a little confused by what a self-hosted blog is, allow me to explain and how you can go about setting one up for yourself.

You’ll need to come up with a domain name you like and also choose a hosting company that can host your blog.

  • Domain: The domain is basically the URL of your website. Examples: google.com (Google.com is the domain), Facebook.com (Facebook.com is the domain). See? Simple!
  • Hosting: Hosting is basically the company that puts your website up on the internet so everyone else can see it. Everything will be saved on there. Think of it as a computer hard-drive on the internet where your blog will be saved.

Personally, I take advantage of BlueHost (for my blog domain and hosting), and I’ve got nothing however good items to mention concerning it. It’s in all probability one amongst the most cost effective (less than $3.50 a month) hosting suppliers out there. a site name can price around $14 a year, however with BlueHost they give it for free). Big smiles for that! They’re the providers I use for all of my blogs, including the one you’re reading right now.

For any odd reason you don’t want to go with iPage, feel free to choose your own hosting company. Most, if not all of them, should have “one-click” WordPress install on the admin panel.

That button will automatically install WordPress on your blog. Did I say it was simple.

All you need to do is Sign up with BlueHost (or your chosen provider), choose your hosting plan and a domain name and look for the one-click WordPress install button on the admin panel.

Website essentials aren’t often needed, but I’d recommend whois privacy (that will keep all your personal details private) and definitely automated backups (this’ll save your website just in case anything fails or disappears, so you won’t lose any or very little of your blog).

Once WordPress is installed on your website, all you have to do to start blogging is go to your WP-Admin page usuallywww.yourblognamehere.com/wp-admin and start writing by adding a new post.

At the start, the layout looks confusing, but it gets very understandable quickly. Don’t worry!

Step 4 – Designing your wordPress blog

Now, the fun bit. Let’s make your blog look exactly how you want it to. To choose a new theme, you can either head to Appearance > Themes or you can head to a premium theme website like ThemeForest.

I usually choose something that looks professional and pretty easy to customise. WordPress also has this awesome feature that allows you to change themes with just a few clicks. So if you start getting tired of your current blog template, you can just switch to another one without losing any precious content or images.

Choose Best WordPress Theme For Blog

Keep in mind, your blog’s outline ought to reflect both you and your identity, additionally what the web blog speaks the truth. There’s no point having a football-orientated topic if your web journal speaks the truth tennis, get it?

On top of that, it ought to be anything but difficult to explore in the event that you need individuals to stick around. On the off chance that it’s dubious and hard to move around it, individuals won’t sit tight. Configuration is a subjective workmanship; which means everybody likes diverse things.

However, nobody prefers appalling sites, and they particularly despise sites that need a college degree to explore. Make it simple for them.

Last step!

Step 5 – Useful resources for beginner bloggers

Bloggers come to blogging arena with varying degrees of online and social media experience, but we’ve all made more than a few newbie mistakes – there’s always room for more learning and improvement, whether you’re a beginner or you’ve been blogging for years.

These articles may help you avoid some of the growing pains when it comes to your first blog – enjoy!:

And that’s it! I’m more than confident that your initial blog set up should now be finished and ready to go, and all that should have been really damn easy (unlike my first time, lucky you!). If you are having any problems installing WordPress on WebHost then this guide may help.

If have any questions for me about how to create a blog, just get in touch with me or leave a comment below. I’ll help you out with any problems.

WP 101 : Best Website For WordPress Training Videos and Tutorials http://onesmartclick.in/blogging/wp-101-best-website-for-wordpress-training-videos-and-tutorials/ http://onesmartclick.in/blogging/wp-101-best-website-for-wordpress-training-videos-and-tutorials/#respond Thu, 01 Oct 2015 06:11:50 +0000 http://onesmartclick.in/?p=198 Why WP 101 ?

The WP 101 Tutorial is a joined exertion by Shawn Hesketh and Mark Jaquith. The reason of the plugin is basic, to showcase feature instructional exercises of WordPress from inside of the back-end of WordPress. In the wake of utilizing the plugin and watching a couple of features, I think it conveys on all levels with WordPress Training Videos and Tutorials.

  • Quickly learn the basics of WordPress with screen-cast training videos.
  • Learn tips and trips that will help you save time using WordPress.
  • Provide video tutorials to your clients or employees so that they can become more proficient.

From what I could tell, the feature player is fueled by Vimeo yet don’t go to Vimeo.com searching for an approach to see these features for nothing, I effectively attempted that. The player backings watching features at full screen or in HD which is a pleasant touch. The sound inside of the features is straightforward and takes after the liveliness stream. To the extent the settings go, there is one and only to stress over, your API key. When you pay for your month to month membership, you’ll be given an API key that gives you access to the features.

WP 101 For Better WordPress

I believe there are two groups of customers that will really benefit from these videos. The first are consultants. I’m sure many WordPress consultants dread the time they spend having to teach someone where to click and what does what in WordPress when they could be spending their time doing something else. The second group are those looking for educational materials at a low cost. There are 17 videos in all covering everything from the Dashboard to the media library, to changing the theme. Basically, just about everything a novice WordPress user should know before they decide to tinker with the inner workings of WordPress on their own.

So, for $48.00 for one month, you can cram in all 17 videos and then cancel your subscription. In this instance, I think $48.00 for one month of viewing is a great value for this content considering the production quality. However, $48.00 per month for 12 months is $576.00 per year which is a hefty price to pay as a user who just wants to learn about WordPress. This is why I think the majority of customers for WP101 will most likely be consultants who are the ones with recurring revenue through jobs that can afford subscriptions lasting three months or more.

Overall, the plugin is simple to install, simple to use, and definitely delivers when it comes to professional quality training videos for WordPress. You can watch a sample video that’s part of the package here.

As mentioned, this video package is different than the one offered on WP101.com where individuals can access the same video content by paying a $19 one time fee for a lifetime membership which is extremely more affordable for individuals than this package. They are the same videos but clearly, the Plugin reviewed in this post is aimed at consultants, not at individuals.
